The following list of requirements are required for a Legal Ceremony in the Dominican Republic.

Requirements:
• • Bride, Groom & Witnesses must arrive at the hotel three business days prior to the wedding day (Saturdays, Sundays & Dominican Holidays do not count).
• • Valid Passports
• • Bride and Groom Original Birth Certificate
• • Single Status Affidavit, duly notarized
• • Divorce Decree (if applicable)
• • Death Certificate (if applicable)
• • Passport photocopies of the witnesses

All documents must be translated into Spanish and legalized by the Dominican Consulate prior to arriving in the Dominican Republic. Documents should be translated and legalized no more than 30 days prior the wedding date. It is the couple's responsibility to have all the required documentation before the wedding date.

Dreams La Romana cannot be held responsible for any delay or alteration by a Judge provided by the Dominican Government. The Judge will ensure all documents are properly prepared which include the legal filing and registering of the Wedding Certificate and wedding documents at the Central Civil Board of the Dominican Republic, as well as at the Foreign Affairs Department.

Once the documents are legalized, Dreams La Romana will send all finalized documentation to the couple's home address. This process may take up to 1-4 months. Please note that none of the above mentioned services are included in our Wedding Packages.

All weddings, regardless of size, must be booked a minimum of 30 days in advance of the wedding date. Subject to availability and double occupancy only. Once wedding is confirmed it cannot be canceled within 6 months of the date of the wedding without a fee. For weddings booked within 6 months of the wedding date the wedding cannot be canceled without the penalty. The cancellation penalty is $100.

**Due to a government surcharge, a $540 USD fee is required for judge services and a $550 USD fee is required for minister/priest services. Please advise the wedding coordinator if you would like to include legal or religious services in your ceremony and all arrangements will be made accordingly.

This package is complimentary when booking a Preferred Club Honeymoon Suite or higher for a minimum of 7 nights or if 5 rooms are reserved for a minimum of 3 nights in any room category, this package also applies for renewal of vows ceremony.
