Earth Day Celebration

This is celebrated annually with family activities, where guests are able to show their own versions of planet Earth, with all the family and friends together. Children are the most involved in this event and the integration atmosphere is a common feel.

Arbor Day Celebration

This day is commemorated by planting new trees nearby of our Explorers Club with the children. Also decorating a special table for them to enjoy organic food in our World Café buffet restaurant.

Social Responsibility in the Community of El Batey

Here are some initiatives that the staff at Dreams Palm Beach takes to help their local community:

  • Permanent water supply to the community.
  • Annual food donations and Christmas celebration for the children of the school.
  • Annual school supplies donations for the children of the school.
  • Annual toy donations and celebration at the end of Christmas for the children of the school.
  • Cleanup activities with the hotel staff and the children at the school.
  • Environmental talks by the hotel staff to the children at the school according to the environmental calendar of the country.

Recycling and Waste Separation

We recycle and separate: plastics, paperboard, cans, crystal bottles, used oils, hazardous waste, organic and inorganic.

Beach Cleanup

We monthly perform cleaning activities throughout the hotel beach area; plus collaborate in the “International Coastal Cleanup Day”.

Partnership with Local Universities

We participate in internships and training programs for Hospitality and Tourism students at local universities.

Local Employees

More than 75% of hotel employees belong of provinces nearby of this tourist place. More than 45% of the total employees are from the same town the hotel is.

Energy-Saving Bulbs and Lamps

As part of our energy saving program we use light bulbs and low lamps throughout the common areas of the property and encourage the use of them to our employees and the community of El Batey.

“Green Week” Celebration

We annually celebrate the Green Week at our hotel with Environmental Cares talk for the staff, craft competitions with recyclable materials, recognition to the department that best implements the environmental policy of the hotel, etc.
