- Rainforest Alliance Certified: Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa has achieved significant and measurable sustainability milestones and has received the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ mark. The requirements for certification are aligned with the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria. This certification assures the commitment of Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa to reduce the impact of its activities on the planet and local communities.
- KKR Eco-Innovation Award Winner: Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa is implementing conservation strategies to preserve its local beaches. The beaches are Blue Flag-certified, which helps ensure the conservation of marine life and reduction of pollution in the ocean. Additionally, the resort installed a solar photovoltaic system and LED bulbs in its pool to decrease greenhouse gas emissions from energy use, increase energy efficiency, and recognize related cost savings. The KKR Eco-Innovation Award recognizes current projects by KKR's portfolio companies that provide innovative, environmentally beneficial solutions while creating business value.
